My little guy was having lots of eczema on his face so we knew he had some allergies but we weren’t exactly sure what.
Well one day when I woke him up early from a nap to go somewhere, he looked like a chipmunk and had a unibrow of hives and was completely covered!!! I am so grateful that I woke him up early. We immediately got some benedryl in him and talked to some medical student friends on what they thought we should do. We finally took him in and got his blood drawn to see what he was allergic to. It was egg whites. It was scary and we still have some scary moments with some of his other allergies. However since we have really started paying attention to the foods he is allergic to, he no longer has eczema : )

My younger son was diagnosed with egg, dairy, and black walnut allergies at 9 months old. We are avoiding all tree nuts as well. We are hoping that he outgrows the allergies. I’d love to see some information on outgrowing allergies, as I know that dairy and eggs are two that are commonly outgrown.
I shared about your site on facebook, twitter, & in our moms group! I am super excited you are doing this! Thank you!!!

Here is our food allergy story. Our son is 16 and we have known about his allergies since he was 6 months old. These include: peanuts, walnuts, fish, shellfish, bananas, mango, kiwi, he can eat peas in limited amounts. We homeschooled from the time he was 8 until 16. He just recently started taking a few classes at our local high school, but we still homeschool. He also does online college classes. It has been hard and we have a some scares, but I guess you just learn to take each reaction and learn what you can from it.
~his allergy to peanuts is also airborne
A recipe to share –
Supper easy spaghetti squash
Wash a whole spaghetti squash. Do not cut it, but poke some holes in the skin. Roast in a 375 degree oven for about 1 hr (more depending on the size of your squash). Once done, remove from oven and carefully cut in half. Scrape out the seeds and throw away. Now pull out the spaghetti squash, and toss with butter, garlic, parm cheese, and parsley.
Makes a wonderful side dish to roasted chicken.
sorry, I posted the story and recipe in the right place now

My son was diagnosed with food allergies when he was just one year old. He is severely allergic to peanuts and also allergic to eggs. It scares me everyday. He is now 5 and we are learning to deal with it but it is really hard. The hardest part is to go to a birthday party and to have to tell your son he can’t eat the cake cause it isn’t safe. Breaks my heart
